There are three ways that Independent Analytics addresses user privacy laws, such as the GDPR (DSVGO) and CCPA.
First, Independent Analytics does not use cookies at all. Instead, it uses your own site’s REST API to record visits as they happen.
Second, Independent Analytics does not communicate with outside servers. Unlike third-party apps that save your data on their servers, Independent Analytics runs on your server only. This means that all analytics data is created and saved entirely on your site.
Lastly, Independent Analytics does not store personally identifiable information (PII). It uses a visitor’s IP address to get their geolocation, then encrypts their IP combined with their User Agent string to create a unique ID, and this unique ID is then used to recognize future visits.
If you have any further questions about GDPR compliance or how the tracking functions, please feel free to get in touch.
HIPAA compliance
Independent Analytics does not have access to or store protected health information (PHI). It also does not store any personal information that could be tied to an individual’s health records. Additionally, it does not communicate with external servers, preventing any disclosure of data to other tracking technologies or vendors.
