Compare Countries, Subdivisions, and Cities

The Geographic report allows you to view traffic from all countries in the data table. You can also switch the grouping to see visitors from every city instead.

What are subdivisions?
A subdivision is a generalized term for a regional classification between a country and a city. They're called different things in different places (e.g. states in the USA), but we use "subdivision" as a catch-all.

  • Toggle FAQ
How is the geographic location found?

The visitor’s IP address is used to find their approximate location. The IP is then combined with the User Agent string and salt, and hashed to create a unique ID. This ID is stored in the DB to recognize future visits without compromising visitor privacy.
