The world map highlights the countries where most of your visitors live. Hover your cursor over any country to reveal the exact count of visitors, views, and sessions from that location.
Discover Your Visitors' Geolocations
Find the countries & cities your visitors are accessing your site from with the Geographic Report

Running a site without any geographic data can make it hard to develop content and products that appeal to your audience.
Here's How Geodata Helps You Understand Your Visitors

The Geographic report allows you to view traffic from all countries in the data table. You can also switch the grouping to see visitors from every city instead.

You can filter the report by metrics, like countries with more than 100 visitors, or filter by the country name, like cities in “Spain.”

Find valuable, actionable insights by comparing locations by engagement metrics. In a click, you can see the countries with the highest bounce rate or the cities with the most views per session.

You can't improve without data
That's why we built a robust geographic report that provides data on your visitors' countries and cities. We use it ourselves to find out where our visitors come from.

Is this privacy-friendly?
Yes, the visitor’s approximate location is found via their IP address. Their location is saved in the database, while their IP address is not, to avoid storing personal data.

How accurate is the geographic data?
Independent Analytics uses IP-based geolocation, which is not perfectly accurate like an app that you give permission to use your exact address. The continent and country locations are accurate 99% of the time, subdivisions 80%, and cities 66%. You can read more about the geolocation accuracy here.

Can I see states and regions too?
Yes, if you display cities, you will also see a “Subdivision” column. For example, you will see that Ashburn is in Virginia in the United States. You can filter by the Subdivision if you’d like to see total traffic from a specific state/region.
